About Us

The Colorado Time-Table was founded by Stephen Shoe as a newspaper about railroad history in Colorado.  After his death, Jason and Anna Midyette took it over and continued this tradition.

In 2008, Jason and Anna could no longer publish the paper and it nearly died.  At the last moment Jay Wimer and his wife, Jean, agreed to take it on.  They formed Great Divide Publishing to publish The Time-Table.  Jason continued to contribute many articles and pictures.  After a short period, Jean's son, Andrew Leonard, and his fiance, Nikole Villanueva got involved (mostly Nikole) and eventually they took over all editorial responsibilities.   Andrew and Nikole live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and were soon contributing stories and pictures from around the Midwest.

It was clear that, if The Time-Table was going to thrive and grow, it needed to expand outside of Colorado.  While the paper continues to publish many articles about Colorado, it has more and more articles from around the US and the world.

This web site contains a sampling of articles from each month's Time-Table.  It does not contain all of the articles in the print edition and does not contain the always-popular Photo Gallery.  At this time, the site is open to the public.

We hope you enjoy what you see on the site and decide to subscribe to the print edition of The Colorado Time-Table!
